Lower Sacramento River FishingThe Lower Sac fished much better yesterday!  Surprisingly, water color was darker due to snow run-off.  Clear Creek and Cottonwood creek both added dirty water that mixed in with the Sac.   Some color is okay and can create perfect fishing conditions.  I found rainbows eating #14 Bird’s Nest in just about every slot, run, riffle.  Saw some big fish eating PMD duns in Redding a couple days ago.  Last night John Sherman put on a pizza and beer powered presentation of Simms latest portfolio of waders, boots, jackets shirts.  I came away interested in Simms Rivershed boot and their G4Z waders.  Simms new STREAMTREAD boot sole and their 360 lug look promising.  Also their Guide wind-stopper jacket with removable hood is definitely going to be in my winter wear next season on the Trinity.

Hey Chris, How did the Simms Blackfoot boots look? Been thinking about trading in my old Simms Guidelight felt sole boots for the rubber bottom boots.

Good advice. I really like Simms boots. Can’t afford their waders though, lol!
