Conditions are really good all across N. California. As you may already know, Hat Creek, McCloud River and Fall River are open. Additionally there is a whole slew of creeks, streamlets, lakes etc.. that are open as of April 28th for the desirous angler. Too many to list.
Although some streams will be high with snow run-off, conditions will improve daily. By June, all our rivers should be in great shape.
One of the most overlooked options around are the local lakes and still waters. McCloud reservoir, Lake Syskiyou, Lake McCumber, Lewiston Lake and even Keswick reservoir offer good to great fishing at this time of year.
